Freedom of speech – YES. But that is not the same as ‘freedom from consequences of speech’

For decades, many have ducked behind the principle of ‘freedom of speech’ to profit from hate and peddle hate, be it for profit (usually is; directly or indirectly) or other more sinister reasons.

Now there are organisations out there, actively digging up past tweets and statements, it never surprises me when you look at certain individuals who get found out. Rarely ever those you would think unlikely to have made such comments.

Horrible people hide in plain site. We (society) are their shield and sometimes enablers, when we stay silent or giggle along with them.

When people say, “there goes freedom of speech”! what they conveniently forget, is the fact that nobody gagged them when they made such speech, the consequences of those speeches is what may well come to roost later on in life, when they seek public office or respectable positions in a respectable society – well, of which there are very few remaining…..

an everyday professional wondering (as many others do daily) what all the animosity is all about? we all came with nothing (as babies), didn’t choose where we popped out and we will all leave (when we die) with nothing.
