Why do foreign managers do so well in the Premier League???

I watched Brighton demolish Man City in the second half of their match today. Their manager is barely in his 30s.

There’s a long, long list of these foreign managers doing so well in the league here. And we still query the appointment of a foreign manager for the English national team??! That said, as a Brit, it is painful for me to see a German managing the three lions. But it is clearly what will get us a trophy

The only reason I can come up with, for foreign managers doing so well – even the inexperienced ones – in the premiership, is the respect they are afforded. In England we seem to find it difficult to respect our own. You look at the constant abuse that Lewis Hamilton receives, in any other country, with his achievements, he would be a respected idol. Same for Emma Raducanu; we just love to tear them apart. I don’t know why. Andy Murray is Scottish but resides in England, won the Olympics twice! Yet, he is ripped to shreds for no reason. Sam Allardyce the former Bolton (and other clubs) manager famously said – and with good reason – that if his name was foreign (Allardici) he would have been better respected for what he achieved over so many years.

We need to start giving our own, a little bit of respect and encouragement. It will of course never happen, but we can live & hope!?

an everyday professional wondering (as many others do daily) what all the animosity is all about? we all came with nothing (as babies), didn’t choose where we popped out and we will all leave (when we die) with nothing.
