Goings on this week in South Korea should be an eye opener to all supposedly democratic countries out there….

….this is how fragile democracy is. We need to protect it. The era of decency – if there ever was such an era – is firmly over. We just saw an individual decide to burn everything down, to have his own way. Evoking martial law should surely have a minimum number of senior government officials who must approve? But even so, it is the reason leaders now seek to load the deck with folk who won’t object…

Perilous times indeed!!
