Alarming increase in ‘shoplifting’ across England, is yet another glaring example of how today’s generation feel so entitled…

If you read the newspapers and online articles, you will be forgiven in thinking parents no longer exist and the government must be responsible for everything!!

We blame the government for EVERYTHING.

I was reading a BBC article this morning, which reported on the spate of theft in shops (shoplifting) across England. It is an extension of the same ‘help yourself’ attitude that is now so common in today’s society. I need this, so I’ll take it. Not a thought for the impact on the shop owner and their kids and the bills they have to pay. The likelihood their insurance shoots through the roof if they keep dealing with thefts etc.

We want to blame the government for EVERYTHING: knife crime in London, everyone blames the Mayor of London. Illegal migration across the English Channel, blame the government. Ignoring the people employing illegal migrants (exploiting them) illegally, which is one of the key reasons coming to the UK is so attractive to them. Ignoring those they are paying huge sums of money to, to smuggle them in. It is just so convenient to blame the government

We do not want to take any responsibility whatsoever.

How about teaching kids NOT to carry knives and checking your child’s bag regularly, anytime they leave home. Making sure you are on top of how they see things and what they do. And that they fully understand the impact of taking a life.
How about appreciating the impact of shoplifting on the shop owner? How about trying to hold back from this urge to just take things that do not belong to us?

It won’t be the government fixing the growing lack of decency. This seemingly uncontrollable perception of entitlement!
