Calm down Canada, shall we see the implementation of solutions & the outcome first?

I have read several online posts of many Canadians stating: “see, that’s the way to go”. Referencing the US. Yes, Trump has surprised pretty much everyone, by winning the election (albeit, the situation wasn’t very different from his defeat of Hilary Clinton, and perhaps that result should have been a peek preview to Kamala’s outcome) but the reality is simple – and this is not about the US or Trump – and should apply to all democratically elected governments: winning an election means you got the votes. Implementation of solutions, be it in relation to the economy, fixing borders etc., should be assessed and scored 2 – 3 years in.

I am not sure what exactly Canadians are looking to copy? Has Trump already fixed the economy and immigration issues? He has said he will fix it all and the electorate have said they believe he will – hence voting for him – but surely, Canada, the UK and any other country where people are saying “way to go! that’s how to do it!” do need to see it done first?
We had a government in the UK who had a whopping super majority of 80 or so seats in parliament but kept blaming the opposition (whom they could have easily eviscerated in every decision in parliament that gets voted on, if they got their members in line…) for apparently thwarting them. Trump now has the house, senate and presidency. So, I believe Canada can wait 4 years to see the wonders, before diving in?

The age-old problem with talking the talk, is always that you then find that you need to walk the walk. You need to implement. You need to deliver. Love or hate him (Trump), he has won their election and that is that. If he gets all he promised done, all the folk (in Canada, UK and other places) saying his way is the way, can begin saying that. But surely, not before 2027/28 right? Unless of course he is a miracle worker and gets the American economy, their border issues etc., all sorted by the end of January 2025…..
