Hundreds of thousands gave their lives (soldiers) in WWII and they and those that survived will tell you that they did so, so that the world never have to go to war, ever again!
But at the first sight of conflict, we start talking about conscription and arming nations….
Have we forgotten those hundreds of thousands who gave their lives???
I am not naive. The world is a complicated place and as such, the arms race is a given, nuclear deterrence etc., is a given. The various superpowers will continue to display their strengths etc. We just need them (all the superpowers) to always stop short of going to war. Wars solve nothing. They must find other ways to resolve matters…
Would all the testosterone-driven macho stuff happen if the President of the US, China, Russia, France, Germany, UK, Ukraine, were women?
The world needs an urgent reset! Wars solve NOTHING!
